Chris, as you know the heads on the valvers pretty well, can you tell me if this is knackered?

its the head from UCC, got it off yesterday to do the headgasket, cleaning up the mating face on it this morning to get rid of all the old headgasket etc and find its quite badly pitted where the HG had blown.

So can i reuse this head or bin it?

thats a bin job unless your sellign it then its fine Mr. Green

you can have it welded then skimmed back but tbh if you have another head use that.

Its hard to fathom how the water ways got that bad!

can you even poke through int the water way?

hmm, theres 2 water ways there or are meant to be there, that mifght even be a casting issue from new.

use the other head though.

yep going to have to, ah well

i've stripped UCC's head now, gonna give the fuel rail, thermostat housing etc a good clean up so they can be sparkly sparkly for the other head
