what would cause one of my wheels to be running out of vertical when looking at the front?

drives ok looks dodgy after fitting the new shocks :(

you didnt loosent the hub nut for any reason did you?

It does that when the bearing is loose. It could however be something else like a broken ball joint or you might not have tightend the bolts up properly.

im hoping its where one side of the car was supported on the chassis and the other side was supported on the anti rollabar or wish bone cant remember and the front end never levelled itself as it was being held out of line on one side, gonna have strip and refit

Is the other wheel the same?

If so it's because the cars been lowered (I imagine it's lowered!)

lol

you'll probably find somehtings either bent or some bright sparks decided to lever the subframe down when changing the clutch and shifted it overslightly.

But lowering it will only cause it to look worse than before. Do you have camber bolts? They cause that if you don't set them right.

just take lots of fast left hand corners to even out the wear

I do that. my tyres wear out on the sidewall quicker than the tread Laughing
