Well watched a couple recently as I have no cable at the moment.

I watched Sin City, had it for months, just got around to watching it. Its quite good actually. better than I thought.

Worth a watch, it can be a little bizzare but its still good. Basically it follows a few stories all happening around the same sort of time.

Last night we watched without a paddle. The usual funny film crap, a couple ofbits were good but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it.

Watched the american chopper series, top stuff as expected although seen em all before.

Ive been watching some far east stuff recently, highlights being 'Oldboy' and 'Ong-Bak', both of which are very good.

sincity is a good film really ,it gives you the feeling that you are reading a comic book sometimes. i watched it 3 times so far

i watched sin city too....i didnt like it....it just didnt hold my attention and i ended up drifting off and doin something else.

watched assualt on precint 13 and collateral recently....loved collateral.

I thought Sin City was absolutely stunning, from start to finish. I love the style and visuals.

Collateral is good too but i still havent actually seen the remake of assualt on precinct 13. If its anything like the over-rated original, i cant be bothered.

well assault is very predictable tbh. usual guns and shooting. not much plot at all.

bollocks is it! White Noise is an absolute sack of shit. Quite how you can have derived enjoyment from it, let alone say it is quite good is beyond me.

and i totally agree with Neal about Sin City, what a superb movie that is, watched it 4 times now, and will prolly watch it again this weekend.

I also totally loved the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Peter Jackson's adaptation of the book was very well done, given all the time restraints of fitting in so much material into the 3 films, he kept the essence of the story brilliantly.
I also love the book and am one of those people who read it at least once a year and have done since 1977 when i first got the book.
Tolkien once said that LoftR was an impossible book to make into a movie but i think he would have enjoyed Peter Jackson's adaptation, appreciated that stuff like the Old Forest had to be left out and some artistic license like killing off Saruman earlier in the film than he was in the book had to be done.
