luv fires...a few mates were camping near a beach last night, so i popped down for the evening. we went and had a fire on the ebach which was cool...i luv a good fire.

on one of many gorgeous beaches around here....there were at least 3 other on the same strip of beach lol so it was a popular idea...but ours lasted the longest, mainly due to the wood we had brought...it was very compact chunks of chipboard style wood...the ones that look like bricks in the pictures...burnt slowly for hours...

well cool tho, also the tide came within literally 1 foot of the fire Very Happy

Camp fires always make for entertaining evenings. There is a disused quarry near me and we do the same thing down there. Couple of tents in case it rains, campfire, beer, park the car up next to us with the music goin.

A favoured activity later in the evening is since the quarry is filled with water to swim one end to the other. Just swin from the shore and look for the fire over the other side. You do have to be quick though as there are leeches!

Beach looks nice btw (It has sand). We never get away with having a bonfire down the beach the police always tell us to move on if we do it down brighton or shoreham which is all stones anyway.

sounds good astro...altho avoiding the leeches sounds a bit iffy!
