Yup, good brower, usually I switch between the two, depending on which icon my mouse gets to first.

so speaking of Firefox, what is everyone's favorite extension?

I love Adblock (filters out banner ads), ForecastFox (displays weather information on the toolbar) and ScrapBook (allows you to easily save and organize pages for later reading).

quite useful is BBCode (makes it easy to paste quotes and images in message boards) and QuickTabPrefToggle (makes all new windows appear in new tabs instead).

not useful for the average surfer but an absolute geek tool is the Web Developer Toolbar. it's a must have and I wouldn't want to design web sites without it.

image zoom is a great extension...right click on any image and in the context menu u get a zoom feature...zoom up or down, works really well....

also fireFTP is a nice ftp client extension

firefox on its own without any extensions stops all pop ups.

nope, its an integral part of windows, has been since windows 98 (i think it was). Was a big fuss at the time because people reckoned microsoft were trying to monopolise net browsers.

i thought u could go to add/remove progs> windows components?

maybe not as i think i remember now someone sayin how IE and explorer are one and the same which is silly...anyways u wanna keep IE handy cos there are always some sites which havent been written properly that dont quite work in FF so u need to resort to internet exploder

also i have other tricks i use....such as things that i bookmark...u can go into bookmarks, do a properties on the bookmarked page, and in keywords give it anything u like...for example i have retro-renault keyworded as "rr"

so to go to retro i just type rr in the addy bar and hit enter...

gg for google...whatever u like

also....do a search for something in google....say "example" for example....bookmarks the results page, go to the bookmark properties like above, give it a key word like "gg", in the location bit, edit the url so that the bit where the word u seached for "example" gets replaces with "%s"...

now u can go to addy bar at top....and just type in "gg whatever" and it will go straight to the results page for searching in google for that word (in this case "whatever"...

its quick
