AUP / General Forum Rules
Swearing
While Retro-Renault is not planning on enforcing any sort of swear filter we would ask our forum members to keep swearing down to a minimum, as we want to keep RR as friendly as possible to encourage new members to join us.
Private Messaging
Retro-Renault has provided every forum user with a Private Messaging service. This is to curtail FAO of posts as they clutter up the forum. Please try and use this service instead of FAO posts as this will save the Admin team from having to clean out the forums.
Warez / Copyrighted Media
While Retro-Renault understand that people have an interest in ‘warez’, in order to prevent any unwanted attention from the Authorities and possible legal action we would ask that members respect our wish that people do not ask for copies of software, links to ‘warez’ sites or offer other members pirated material.
Website Promotion
While we are happy to form links with other Renault Enthusiasts or Tuning Companies we would ask that you contact Chet Kelly (chet@renault-turbo.com) if you wish to advertise your product or services before posting on the forum.
Pornography / Adult Websites
In order to keep the forums clean we would ask that no Porn links or pictures be posted in any forum. If you wish to post something of an adult nature please add ( +18 ) in the message title so that those people who access Retro-Renault from work can avoid such postings.
Signatures
As the Retro-Renault forums are provided free of charge to its member we would ask that Signatures be text only, the reasons for which are two fold. Firstly with large signatures pictures the ‘bandwidth’ used increases dramatically, which in turn costs RR. Secondly it helps load pages quicker and does not take up a large proportion of the screen.
Anti RR Posts
While we make a concerted effort to make the RR forums a nice place, we cannot please everyone. If you feel in anyway disgruntled by actions of other members, Moderators or the site Administrator please contact one of us personally.
For Sale / Wanted Forum
In order to help members track down parts / items that they require we have provided two forums for general use. However I must stress that these forums are used at your own risk, Retro-Renault is not liable for any loss of money or items. When posting For Sale items please do not post links to Ebay, we would ask that you take the time to make an individual post in our forum.
Inter Club Relations
While many members may have had experiences with other clubs in the past, we would ask members to hold back from voicing any distaste for any other club be them Renault related or not. |
