Since I have owned my 19 (about 9 months now) the passenger side headlight has never quite 'sat' right. It is a bit recessed and points ever so slightly down.

It's not huge, and you wouldn't notice unless you looked fairly closely, but it has always annoyed me, and TBH I would really like to get it sorted and make the car look perfect. The light itself is fine by the way.

I have had the bumper off and had a good look, and it seems that where the headligh bolts to the metal body behind it, the mounting area is rusty and bent which is causing the light to not sit correctly.

Can anything be done? Do you think a bodyshop would be able to cut/weld the bracket to get it to line up right?

I am guessing that at some point it had a 'knock' on this corner, but there is no other structural damage that I can see.

Take the headlight out and bend the slam panel back to shape.

Its a common prob as the metal at the bottom of the light is easily bent, I have bent it a few times lenign over the back of the engine.
