The drivers window on my 16v Chammy is becoming a problem in that it's slow opening and even slower to close, getting to the point now where the poxy thing almost won't budge at all, so I'm having to drive around with my window shut... it's happened quite quickly too, last week no probs but over past few days it's happened. Any idea how to fix it, is it easy to do and how much? Any advice appreciated, thanx.

it could b that u need a new window regulater, thats wat i needed for mine, before i bought it the guy that had a look at the window tried shocking it into life so to speak but to no avail (sp), if u do need 1 it isnt a hard job to do. aint sure if its the cheapest but i know the price from GSF (German/Sweedish/French) £49 (before VAT) for the Renault 19 (electric)

hope this helps Wink

try spraying some wd40 on the rails on either sides of the window first .
take the regulator plug out and clean it as well ,it probably is corroded a bit.

i dont think you will need a regulator but if you do scrappies sell them for 10-15 quid .

the door plugs behind the rubber boot from the door to the car at the hinges will have corroded pins as well.
