well after i broke my collarbone on holiday i obviously needed medical attention etc. The way travel insurance works is that you pay for all your treatment out of your own pocket, then claim it back on you return. I had to fork about £300 for all my treatment abroad. Fine, no bother.
I got my claim form sent to me by the insurance company and at the end there is a small section to be filled out by a doctor and their practice stamp to be put on.
Now I havent had a doctor for years and years so i had to go along and go through the whole rigamarole of registering with a new doctor, then getting an appointment to see them, only to tell them " it's fine, all i actually need from you is your stamp on this form to get my money back please".
"we dont do these in consultation time, leave it with us" she said. Fine (even though it would take no more than 30 seconds to fill out)
Now I get a phone call saying "your form is done, that's £15 please"
This fee I cannot claim back from the insurance either.

well 15 quid or 300 quid, look at it that way!
But yeah bit shite.
Liek the vehic le defect form issued by police, that requires an mot statiion stamp, some charge a fiver others full test fee just to use ther stamp! |

It's all a lot of bollox, everyone will try to squeeze money out of you! and say "Admin fee", bollox to thatI'd work in admin for all the charge payments they get!! |

Admin fees are defo a load of bollocks!!
I had a fine come through on my car for not paying the congestion charge (£50) which was odd considering the car at the time was off road with no engine in it!
So i contested the fine and they sent back a letter saying i would need to get a crime number from the police stating that i had reported theft of my number plate and oh a £50 charge for admin costs!!
so either way i would have to pay £50, what a fucking con!! |
