Right my coilovers sound lovely and quiet Rolling Eyes when going over bumps etc.
So i got some new top mounts, and took apart the coilover.
After looking at the coilover the top metal plate of the coilover isnt tall enough to sit the bearing into the top mount so the top mount spins freely.

This is the H&R one:

Mine is alot shorter, is there anyway of getting a taller one or doing something so it works properly, i spaced it out with rubbers for the time being and it has made it quieter just growns now.
But either way its not very good.

Im sure i have the correct parts, apparently its a common coilover problem.
I have bought some washers to see if that sorts it

try using helper springs this might well make them quieter (sp) as the helper springs being softer will take some of the initial shock from the main springs. I know this is not the main usage of helper springs but this will 1/ help lengthen the main springs and 2/ could well quieten the initial compression of the main spring.

anybody else any ideas.

also the helper spring won't ware out like rubber spacers.
