hi guys, got a couple of questions for you. nothing too taxing Laughing I want to do an oil change on megane coupe 1.6 16v gearbox. The spec for the oil is 75/80, but Im having trouble getting hold of this. A guy at CES, local major car parts outlet, says 75/90 is a newer spec and is ok to use. Can anyone tell me if this is correct or should I stick to original spec ?
Has anyone ever used an additive in their box oil, STP or MOLYSLIP,and was it any good. Reason I ask is that my box has started whining slightly and thought this may help to prolong its life and delay an eventual transplant.
Thanks in advance for your replies Smile

75/90 is fine. Don't use additives.
