 GSF GEAR OIL ANY GOOD?

GEARBOX OIL-80W90 1L GENERAL USE £ 2.60
GEARBOX OIL-SS75/90 500ml GENERAL USE-SYNTHETIC BASE £3.00


these are the prices i got from gsf online . obviously the synthetis one is better but are they really good for renaults? did anyone use this stuff before?

igot the oil from GSF chris used it on my gearbox and its well smoother so id say yes, Embarassed but bearing in mind cant remember wat the make or type was though Embarassed ......would go out in2 the garage and check but it is, as u prob no, blowing a GALE out there at the moment Sad but u can ask chris the name m8 Very Happy

cheers alan mate ,i am sure the wise scottsman will be here tomorrow to let us all know .
i got to change that oil soon as i am reaching 180k miles in a few days time and god knows if the gearbox oil has ever been changed

make sure u get the right grade...mine isnt the best grade and cold gear changes r hard work....

dont ask me the grade as i know not...off the top of my head...it is in a post somewhere in techs but its also in chris's head

You got the opil from PMF Alan and it was comma 85W90 Ep box oil.

The oils fine Schakal.

Auto box oil is fully synth and does the job, thats what I'm putting in the 16V when the weather calms down.

yeah i was thinkin of using atf next time ...does this come in different grades? never looked before

nah, well dexron ratings, dexron 2 is the min you will find most are dexron 3.

6quid a litre and i suppose i need 3.5 litres in case??

premier motor factors.

Go to a decent motor factor schakal and buy a 5l bottle will be about 8 quid

i dont seem to get it, GSF is supposed to be cheap is not it?

do you know the make of the oil from motor factors chris? 8quid for 5l is a bargain
