surely with 34mm+ valves you'd be getting mega close to the sparkplug ? theres hardly 2mm meat between inlet valve and plug thread anyways

aye but thats not a problem.

You shoudl see some A series, heads, the exhaust valves when they grow can rub the inlets.

Basically yes, but on some configs you need to hand cut the lead in and chamber side of the insert and only have a veery very small seat width.
