well its more than likely been involved in a front ender for it to have a ph2 front end on it, once the ph2 was introduced, when renault did crash repairs they put the ph2 parts on because ph1 parts were not manufactured anymore.
there is a whole section about that in dialogys, shows how to convert the rear end to accept the ph2 rear lights, what bits to cut / replace on the front end to accept the ph2 bonnet, grill and lights etc
there was of course never a ph1 exec so those exec badges do not belong on the car and as Simon pointed out, no leather seats either.

it looks nice but 12 owners and more than likely some accident history in its life

neo wtf are you on about? they never repaired them cos ph1 bits were not avaialable, all the ph1 body stuff is still available.

The ph1's from J plate in 92 some used the ph2 shell which had to be adapted, the front slam panel also only comes in ph2 flavour so needs the brackets chopped off.

they never made a ph1.5 if it was in a crash as no one would accept that

Is it? So I could go to Renault and buy a brand new ph1 16v front bumper for example if my pockets were deep enough?
