Hey all - whilst rumaging on ebay, I came across this 19 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4500476921.

Looks standard enough, but what the hell is a "Petrol Converter Unit"! I thought all the early carbed 1721/F2N 19's (sold in the UK at least) ran on just about anything - leaded, unleaded or super - just like the Energies.

So has this guy been done well and truly by his garage, or am I missing something Very Happy - just curious you understand, not thinking of buying it or nything.

wot (I mean what really) does he mean by this BIDDING IS FOR THE CAR AND NOT FOR VIEWING. SOLD AS SEEN so is he saying you are not allowed to go and have a look at it.

a bit dodgy.

no he means if you bid and win, you buy, not just have a look at it and change your mind.

I wonder how many time he has had to change his petrol conversion unit... I wonder how much one is... I wonder WHAT one is! lol
Some garages are just crazy in how much they take the piss. I wonder if they really put any kind of additive system in his car, or just told him it was inside the fuel tank and did nothing.

dunno not got a bloody clue.

At best I can imagine is the later unleaded CAS which had different position for different timing but the 19's have the unleaded ones anyway.

I wonder where he got it

I have been trying to find a conversion unit that changes water into wine for many years now, maybe he could point me in the right direction Laughing
