Hi

I hope I have posted this in the right forum Smile Just recently my Laguna mK1 has started to emulate the River Thames, in the off side rear foot well, I have checked the obvious like door seal windows closed but all have drawn a blank! Any ideas anyone.

Cheers

check in the boot, the rear lights can allow water in which will get to the passenger compartment, have a look in the spare wheel well as well, it shoudl be bone dry!

But look at the tailgate where the rubber boot surround the wires near the hinges, if this has popped out water will get in the car.

Also if it has a sunroof then it may be a blocked rain channel dumping water inside the headlining.

I will have a look tomorrow all being well with the weather Smile Is this a common problem with this model, There is just like a drizzle of water that runs in between the door , the seal and the plastic trim ending up on the footwell ! Um

Welcome to the forums mate

To add to what chris said, water ingress technicians are also useful for pinpointing rattles Wink

Hi

Yep sat in the car in the rain, water is gushing over the rear door seal, What do you think a replacement , where should the actual join be at the top of the door or at the bottom. It seems that water just sits on the seal , then runs in ooh .

Thanks for the welcome m8 much appreciated.

the join in the seal is meant to be at the bottom in the middle for obvious reasons.

The water should tun off fromt he seal, if its slimy then it won't seal right, you need to clean it, nailbrush and fairy liquids the best way to start.
