my man choke is playing up .E6J eng.i pull it out resistance felt revs like crazy thats ok .then push it back in, pull another time and no res or increase in speed.not moving linkage .is connected at carb end by spring over metal pin stub.have sprayed it with oil etc so its allfree.yet to undo inside car knob bit.any advise thanks |

its connected fastened to carb and choke knob.like it should be .when pulled out resistance felt as it moves choke lever, then other times when pulled out no resistance no difference to revs would a new cable solve this? |

the resistance is at the knob end as there is a metal spiral in the rod which is what cause the cl;icky noise as you pull it out.
Cable must be iffy if its not working all the time |
