Well im close to admitting defeat with my idle fault...

On startup the car immediately revs to 2k then climbs to about 3k.

i have tried and clean 4 different ISCV
2 speedo cables
2 throttle bodies + pots
inspected all pipesfor leaks
tried 2 different ecus... stil high revs
car wont stall on blocking the ISCV....
manifold gasket is new
spark plugs new dizzy cap new
leads new
map sensor changed
recently changed the lambda to a 2nd hand genuine one...was alright tho....

changed CTS to a new one yesterday

ive sprayed wd-40 on the injectors.. no leaks there... lol.. its weird... can the ignition module cause a high idle... any other ideas suggestions please!!

have you looked at the ICV connector, after i cleaned mine recently my idle played up, turned out to be loose connection on ICV plug! just a suggestion

after i cleaned mine it kept getting stuck open and reving to 2k so u might have a stickey ICV thats not closeing.when you put the ICV back on did you close the hole inside it.on my first go i did not close it and it was reving to 4k.just try that first thats what i think it is matey Wink

oh come on, surely this is bloody obvious!

if you block off the ICV then thats not the problem, what is the problem is a vacuum leak after the throttle plates.

Piossible causes.

Injectors, you have ruled this out though it would seem.
TB - inlet man gasket
throttle plate bypass screw on top of the TB, this should be screwed fully IN.
The brake servo hose
the map sensor hose
charcoal canister hose
inlet man gasket.

the only thing causing the high idle is to much air, the ICV will be fully closed trying to bring the idle down.

to much fuel it will stall, if it pulls back the timing it will stall. only thing is air.
