right all my reno 19 16v the revs sit a bit hight ie over 1000rpm or at 1000 rpm when warm is this right?

also it sounds like its a bit grumpy on start up revs hunt if u like go up n down then settle after about 5 min of driving

any ideas why?

correct idle is 950rpm, whatever the temperature

lambda sensor could be dodgy

i was thinking that i no this is a silly question but waer on the down pipe is the lamba? ie is it in a easy reach place or not

It's right at the bottom, just before it joins onto the cat. If you look underneath the car at where the cat is, and then look a bit further forward, you'll see it, screwed into the top of the downpipe. If that makes sense!

they idle higher than that when cold ,thats what CTS is there for Wink

coolant temp sender.

Lambda only comes into it when at operating temp which if the senders dicky it will never be perceived as reached.

well it dont drop below 100 rpm regardless of weather is cold or hot or nomal opp temp

so what do u think it is?

ok got to ask this as i waiting for my haynes manual to be delivered to me ware is the coolant censor?
