Decided to treat the clio with a set of new yoko's last week on the front and thought they were pretty damn good...that is until i drove it in the rain this morning! Thought i was buying pretty good tyres, my marshalls had more grip in the wet! Anybody found a good tyre for all round grip and fairly long lasting wear?

toyo proxes T1's, I have to find a better tyre tbh.

better than avons, pirelis etc in my opinion.

For some reason though toyo's don't go with clio people!

Falken 512's are the worst tyres I've ever had, I got them after Neal said he had them and they were good - but we both found they wore a bit quick. They arnt a curved tread like C they are flat like | so wear much quicker in the centre.

Best tyre's I had were Firehalk SV40's or something, lasted 20k on the front and gripped like shit to a blanked.

Huws red chammy had Yokos on the front iirc, wern't to bad but never drove it in the wet.

Another vote for Toyos here.

I found yokos to be ok but they wore a tad too quick and were'nt the best tyre in the wet, although for normal driving you'd have never noticed.

I had toyo's on my 17"s to and not only are they a super looking tyre but they far out perform anyother tyre i've used in the wet.

I pretty much only run yoko A539's on my clio. they are damn good. aye, they may be not-that-great in the wet, but they are ok....tbh if ur pushing ur car in the wet on any tyre, u should be prepared for trouble imo.

at the mo i have Caterham race tyres on the front of my clio (Avon CR500's). now....these ARE bad in the wet lol...in fact i would even say they are dangerous. seriously. they aquaplane on any water at any speed.

Yoko's all the way imo.

Got Toyos on my Clio 16v and have to say, they offer superb grip.

Wheels never spin and they keep the power down and the car on the road Smile

imo Toyo's are very very good but still get wheel spin on the 5 but they give great feedback, Falkens are very very bad in the wet still have them on my 14" rims and at some point would have changed them. Michelin probably the best wet weather tyre on the 5 but bloody expensive, avoid Kleber like the pague, they are a budget Michelin and it shows. Goodyear more like badyear for a Laguna, Avon better than michelin on the laguna, on a clio Firestone can't be beat on a budget, but thats just my opinion. i've
