 how do i change the alternator on a ren 19????

i dont want to drop the engine. there must be an easyer way to do this.

1.4 or 16v?

the 1.4 energy is an arse but will slip out round the back of the engine.
you can get to the bolts through the holes in the drivers wheel arch.

I had to remove drivers side drive shaft to get it out of the general

you did it wrong then didn't you. LOL

you have to slide it out arround the starter. it's tight but it fits and saves taking shafts out.

Its how chris told me to do it!

I didn't try it that way tho so i'm not saying it won't work

pop the drivers driveshaft out, makes life a lot easier, or not even all the way out just off the inner splines.

undo the nut and bolt ont he adjustement bracket up the top then remove the long 16mm lower pivot bolt. the wires are held on by a 10mm and an 8mm nut.
