how to get the head out 1.8 8v ?

right both manifolds are off the engine all pipes etc disconnected
now,
do i have to line up anything before i crack the head bolts?
how do i get the cam belt out ?
is there a sequence to undo the bolts ???

just take it off.

and yes theres a sequence same as the tightenign sequence.

Cut the belt off mate, saves mucking about. specialy if your just breaking the car.

i have levered the cambelt out with a screw driver.

did not do a fecking sequence ,tuff innit ????

i got some pictures of the job as well for laters,

also got all the cables out for spares ,apart from the accel cable they all look like the same as 16v ones . nice Smile

got the power steering pump out as well after finding out it is a fortune from eurocarparts, fecky Shocked

now next is the gearbox ,i was gonna leave the bottom end and get the sensors off it but after my neighbour seeing the pistons and all and telling me that the engine is mint i am thinking of getting the bottom end as well now ,bollocks Mad

I never removed the head bolts in order, lol

You didn't make the mistake that i did and forget the head bolts under the spark plug covers Embarassed

Got the head out gotta go back and collect the rest of the engine and box at some point.

NO WHERE has a MPI engine, killer deal, anythign i want from the engine bay for Â£150
