We had a pretty big lorry in work today to be sign-written....and I thought it made my car look rather puny!

makes your 16v's power crap aswell! as it is like that it'll beat most cars to the speed limiter(56mph) can do it in one gear!

that stralis is a 540bhp model.

Surely a 19 would get to 56mph before that! I mean, I know it's incredibly powerful etc and it isn't gonna be pulling any of the 8 billion tonnes it's designed to pull......but........I just can't imagine sitting in that lorry and pulling away with the same sorta pace as the 19 lol. Just would seem wrong!

How much would a cab like that on it's own weigh do ya reckon? Roughly?

the truck weighs about 5 tonnes unit only. but geared extremely well, my dads premium is a 530bhp model and only 8 gears, does 0-56 in 1 gear. when im next out with him, i'll time the 0-56 and let you know!

Yeah lol I was gonna say. If you do the mathes VERY ROUGHLY (lol), then the cab is about 5 times heavier than the 19 and also has 5 times the power so that makes it pretty even. If you do the maths PROPERLY.........then.....er.......I dunno cuz I can't be arsed! Laughing

tractor units are quicker than 90% of cars with no trailer.

I mind being in an older MAN unit, we were in the 6's to 56.
