Just been trying Chris' guide on the above in the KB.

1 question though.

Having taken the plunger out of its bucket I tried to check its operation by squeezing the spring in and out. There was no movement at all!

Does this mean the spring is broke?

Trapped oil i think, i took the piccies for that article and i remember i couldn't compress some of them at all

bit more carb cleaner should sort that out then.
