Well whilst you are struggling I hope what I say will make you feel better. I teach got stuck in my staff car park, clutch cable snapped thought do I ring and get my mechanic partner out (1/2 hr drive) or call the RAC. I know what my partner wanted so called the RAC at 3.15pm. They came at 4 pm we got the clutch cable and back at 4.15pm. It took 2 of us until 6pm to get it in. God knows how the RAC bloke didn't swear but its not much fun, he guided it in with wire (my suggestion) after struggling for 30 mins. Most clutch cables take about 10mins, he said he'd never do another one. Good old reno!
