hi ppl

i have a slight idle problem ani i hope you guys could help

when ive bien on a drive the revs at idle seem to stick at 2k

i kinda know what the prob is but dont know what to do bout it, ill explain the best i can
were the accel cable joins the TB (black pully), it dont seam to snap shut to the stoppa screw leaving the butterfly on the TB slightly open? some times it does most times it dont, i oiled the spring, still no joy, theres plenty of slack on the cable so its not that,

any ideas? whats that black circle thing at the other side of the TB? it has a plug goin in to it, could that be my prob?

any help apriciated

its a meg 2.0 16v ph1 btw

Clean up the Throttle Body and ISCV with carb cleaner.

If you look in the Knowledge Base you'll find articles Chris has done on how to do it.

Don't fanny about with that 'black circle thing', it's the TPS.

the TB and ICV are clean. just had another look and it seems the butterfly on the TB is ever so slightly scraping the botton of the TB holding it open. i sprayed a little carb cleaner on as lube and it worked fine. is there any way the butterfly can be adjusted
