right, my hatch failed its mot, one of the things it failed on was an inoperative handbrake.

so it passed on the brakes being operated normally so i would assume the fail is gonna be due to a knackered handbrake cable ? (althou the mot tester mumbled something about calipers ??)

The handbrake does work if its pulled (i mean PULLED) all the way to the top, if u just pull it up normally as far as it goes, u can push the car back and forth

might not be the brake cable ,check my project and adjust the handbrake accordingly
i had to do it it in 15 minutes after failing the mot just because of it on the last day
