Chris, am I right in thinking that other than a nice meaty sound a free flow filter is of no benefit performance wise to a Turbo diesel. In that a Td is not governed by air flow in the same way as a petrol.

that is a reasonable assumption to make Bridges yes.

Diesels run lean all the time, the fuel injected is what makes the power, opposite on a petrol to an extent.

Of course there is a point where theres not enough air for the fuel injected!

Unfortunately my TD project is not a Renault, its a phase 2, Pug 306. Am a diesel fan though. my main cars a 19 16v 4dr. How are the 19 TD's to own and work on?
