ok this for me is a real fucking problem im on my 6th in a year and a half and before you say ive tryed the offcial 16v one

they just all ways go in the same spot, ive tryed a new pedal and the other day id done maybe 1 month on new pedal and cable and snap 3rd gear all the way home

i drive with a constant fear, fear of the cable, the cable knows that i know it knows, becuase it knows i know that it knows, it has a fear of me, and we all know fear leads to hate and hate leads too anger and anger leads to me hitting my fucking reno every time the cable snaps.............

fit it properly then.

Get a new cable and a new cable, the 20 quid renautl cable not the 40 quid effort with the weight.

Then fit them properly and it won't snap.

Bring it up to me and I'll sort it properly.

clearly you can't cos you wouldn't have the problem would you?

I am mightily anoyed if the cable needs changed once every 5 years.

Just a thought but is there anything else wrong on the car that might be putting extra strain on the cable? Like maybe engine mounts, or something on the backside of the engine, that could be crushing or stretching the cable wierdly while you are driving around.
Anyway just an idea - discuss Smile

no richards a muppet I had to go from glasgow to kings lynn to undo his sump plug for him.

Rich even if you drive like a girl the cables still under the same strain when you change gear.
