right recently ive have the battry light flash up when idleing, when you rev it, it then goes way, so im thinkin its a lose conection so i had a wiggle of some of the wire at the alternator and on just freaied and snaped in my fingers (shit i hear you say> my thoughts exsactly) ne way i temopraryly fixed this but, when thightening the small 10mm nut i pulled the loop of the "+" conection off the wire (shit!), so i thought fuck it im takein it out and sticken another on, the one of the blue r19 16v i broke the other month, it looks to be in miles better condition (it has inspection stickers and pass stickers on it so its most proberbly a re-con dot look that old)
i had a go at removing it how the hanyes say's, ie remove front right h/lamp but that didnt really work out so i removed the rad and the inlet mainfold and then it was a peice of piss, to change but im gonna do the aux belt too cos the ajuster was all the way down so its gonna get replaceed, is there anything speical i need to know before i atemp this, never really messed with bealts before,
also ive had a low temp thermostat sitting on my shelf for about 6moths so i thought well since the i flushed the system and rad well, ill put that in too, but what about sealing it what do i need to buy for the job?
also the insides of the inlet mainfiold, well it was like tar thick sluegy carbon blid up! got rid of all that with some carb cleaner! works wonerds that shit, juist blasts it away!!!
one thing i noticed, the tops of my injectors are a pale/turquasie (spelling?) green in colour when all the other ones ive had on other r19 16v are that dodgy orange colour, whats odds does this make? also on injector no,4 its got a small crack rite at the end where it goes into the head should i scrap em and just put the blue r19 16v injectors (oragne tops) on there?
any help apricated,
cheers alex.

the thermostat should be fine with nothing sealing it. it just pops into the housing with a rubber seal thats already on it...then clean the mating faces and should be fine...for extra peace of mind i used some thixo sealant on those faces tho.

if the battery light comes on, but goes away wen revved, meas the alts on its way out. new connectors can be crimped on easy.

the injectors are different. the green injectors flow less fuel than the orange ones, but where talking about 2cc here, not a lot. dont mix and match them.

the sludge in the inlet manifold is the crank case gases, which r vented back into the manifold from the rocker cover. nothing to worry bout.

erm your lying there you do need a gasket.

If you don't use it then you will have running problems with post throttle plate inlet leaks.

aux belt goes either way.

RS200

The small 1" exhaust is the wastegate dump pipe. They run an external wastegate.

Yup, single turbo 911's are the same, normal exhaust on the right, wastegate one on the left
