any good tips for having a second car insured for as cheap as possible?

limited milage?
weekend only?
classic car insurance?
swap between one and the other so u r only insured to drive one at any one time?

ideally i wud like both cars available...i dont want to have to choose between them ie which to get rid of...

limited mileage is the only way you'll go.

Its a very grey area of insurance here.

Classic the car is not eligable for it.

I've never understood how insurance works for two cars.
If they are insured by the same company how can they justify charging twice as much for two cars - you can only drive one at a time!
ok so it might get stolen while parked but surley the risk of a crash is much grater than it being broken into
If you've only third party you shoud be able to insure as many cars as you like for no greater cost as long as you are the only driver Evil or Very Mad

These insurance companies just try and screw as much out of you as they can get away with Evil or Very Mad

a 13 year old 19 is not old enough to be a classic where as a 20 year old scirroco is.

its a bloody nightmere I had to setup another policy for my 5 its been running so long now its got full no claims!!! you have to be very carefull with the six months on the road and six month garage policy as I found out. a lot of insurance companys say they can do it but what they do is insure you for 3/6 months on the road then cancel the policy losing any ncd and then give you a garage policy!!! like i said its a nightmere good like JB Very Happy

firebond.com i believe.

lol i did the usual elephant.co.uk test as i do many times (see what it would cost on silly cars) and i was surprised to get a phone call from them asking if i wanted the quote etc.....

must have filled in my REAL number instead of a phoney (no pun) one....i wonder how many ppl they pay to go chasing up all the bored ppl who just go on it to get quotes for fun
