just thought id ask, im pritty sure that the intermitant squeekin noise coming from the front wheel is the disc and the pad touching due to a worn caliper?? any advice on fixing the caliper or should i just swap the caliper (dont know how to bleed brakes but ill have a go!!)

scondly when truning right and only right theres a noise coming from the left front wheel like a dodgy scraping/vibrating loud wheel bearing noise, pritty sure it the wheel bearing, cos it only does it when turng right, so im gonna change the hub from on othe the other ones ive got, the red hatches one had a n/s front wheel bearing before i chrashed it!! ill use that, but ive read somewhere that you always ment to use a new hub nut is this true??? will it be ok with the old one or what thead size is it to get another nut, i know the socket is a 30, but what *M* size is it!!!
cheers
alex.

I think in all the billion times I have removed and re-fitted driveshafts I have changed a hub nut once, that was only cos it cracked.

the hub nut will be fine to re-use.

Might be the brakes, might not be. Hard to say. Pull the wheel off and undo the top caliper bolt onto the carrier (you need a 13mm spanner and a 17mm spanner). Pivot the caliper down them pull the slider in and out, it shoudl be free. If its ssolid its seized, if its sticky slap a bit of high temp grease in. For the bottom slider ust move the caliper in and out.
