 is this the oil pressure sensor?

Finally got round to fixing the pressure gauge on my valver, is the sensor the 1 1/4" diametre screw in piece just behind the cam cover? Im going to try and get a pic up of it

Cant do pictures, me and pc's..aaaaagggghhhhh!!!

yeh I know but before I swapped it over I just wanted to be sure, anyway your pics helped, Ive definately got my eyes on the right bit!

do it after the car has sat for a while. A load of hot oil won't piss out then!

Ok, so Ive changed the sender and Ive swapped the dials and still not working. I know that both dial and sender I used were OK so whats next, re-route a new wire? Is it that easy to wire it to the existing multiplug?

make sure the wire isn't melted around the starter area.

all looks in tact to me, can I run a new wire then? dont really know much about electrics.

All worked fine a few months ago then went intermitent then stopped.

check with a multimeter to make sure theres not a break. Its a purple wire from the sender (normally might be somethign else if they ran out of purple wire) so check at the engine end then chack again at the browm plug under the dash top.

lol, sounds like renault bodge alot of things! or just dont care for people trying to do wiring diagrams!
