Well, after nearly a month off the road (although, I've probably spent 2hrs on it in that time) the Valver has started!

Went around every electrical connection today and checked it was crimped correctly and cleaned the contacts, same with the ECU, Relays etc.

Charged the battery up overnight, but got the S40 hooked up with jump leads as well, foot to the floor and she roared into life! Head ticked like a bitch for a good 5 minutes and then as if by magic it stopped and purred again! Let her sit on the drive and warm up, the took her out! Oh how I've missed thee!

So Wednesday I'll give her a good flush and service, clean and polish Smile

Cheers to those who gave me suggestions and things to try Smile

Any ideas what the problem was in the end? I imagine your little sailing adventure didn't do it a great deal of good!

I don't think it was flooded Chris as it cut out and wouldn't start today back to the same turning over but not firing - think theres a dodgy +ve connection down by the ECU that goes over to the coil, it was pretty manky when I cleaned it up, needs to dry out I think!

Its good to be back Smile
