failed on,
front disce's corroded to excess,
n/s/f wheel bearing,
exhaust blowing,
failed emisions test,
and front number plate cracked,

the exhaust is kind of blowing but only from the joints so im gonna re seal em and tighen evething up then it *should* pass the emissions test.
the numberplate i knew about n i was gonna change neway,
the front disc's corroded to excess is an new one on me! i was gonna stick the 19's girlings on anyway but not as soon as i thought!
the wheel baring is a bit of a shitter, ive been looking on ebay for a cheap NOS one but the auctions end ages away and as ive got a hub in the garage of my old 19 with a newish wheel bearing in can i just use that? i think it will fit as it lists the same on one on ebay that will fit the clio any the chamade. also if i am gonna change to girlings can i just swap everthing incl the hub on the nearside (kurb side right?)

also while im here, if then aint no heat coming form the blowers after 30mins of driving (hard!) will it deffinatly be the heater matrix? the temp looks good,

cheers for the info

what did it fail on emmisions wise? A leaking exhauts is a fail and it will affect the emmisions as well but depends on how far out it is if thats the cause or not.

Use the 16V hub on it, they are the same unless your unlucky enough to have the funny sixed hub, with the gay bearing size and the dodgy strut bolt spacing. brakes I mentione dint eh other post but aye swap it all over.

heater matrix maybe, coudl be just an air lock which is more likely tbh.

it was deffinatly leaking where the back box section conects to the mid section, i tried fixing it before the MOT,
they had a dumb woman going thu the mot failure sheet with me n she said that cos its blowing it couldnt be tested or summat, somthing along the lines of if its one its the other of or some shite, i kind of was ignoring here.
i hope it does pass its emissions test cos that could be costly if i cant get a good second hand one, the decat will be chucked on asap after the mot ne way! that why i wert to botherd about it slightly blowing cos i was gonna put the de cat on it.
o well.
how doe i get rid of a air lock? squeze the pipes and hope for the best?

squeeze and hope, also if you unclip the header tank and lift it as high as you can and squeeze the hoses that helps.
