hi all Very Happy , i have noticed a knocking noise on my 19 16v hatch. when you drive in a straight line there is a knocking noise coming from the front of the car,but as soon as you either turn the steering wheel slightly or apply the clutch it stops Confused . any ideas what this could be would be a great help.

cheers lee

noise is from the engine bay. but cant really tell if its from the left or right, but was wondering if it may be the drive shaft or something similar?

it does go when you come off the throttle, and i have established that it is coming from the drivers side.if it helps i did change the pads about aweek ago and this has only just started since then. maybe just coincidence?

when driving, if you dip the clutch, floor the accelerator and engage a higher gear does it knock?

Mines doing that and It's the o/s shaft.
