its not a bargain at £600!

I will give you 75 quid as it stands as it will need towed away cos the box is fubbard, needs a front end respray due to stone ship damage, bonnet etc lined up from the bump its had, same at the back, needs new fogs, needs a lot doing in the engine bay, exhaust woudl need to be cut and re-mounted and I ain't even heard it run or drive.

It would also need raised and other wheels stuck on it in order for it to be used to anywhere near its full potential.

If you want shot of it for 75quid then I'll have it.

Laughing

hmm ok.

So tell me how any car thats lowered to its bump stops can actually handle?

Bens clio is solid and skips about like a brick on a trampoline.

Exhaust bracket needs cut off and rewelded and its being forced down just infront of the rear axle as well.

You need to remove the engine to do the gearbox and you can get a taxed and tested clio inb good nick for 500 quid with a box that works mate.

You have had it for sale for a while its not gonna go at that price. Sad but true!

dropping the subframe is not the best way to do it, trust me on that one.

what do you think I am? lol

I build these cars and so on.

Subframe change over etc never line up right, at the factory its all built up in the subframe then the cars dropped over it and its bolted up.

When you release the bolts after 12 years of use the frame and chassis rails 'move'.

Ask anyone that has a clue, you live near knockhill go discuss chassis dynamics and stress on bodyshells.

I'm not arguing btw just stating the facts, I must have done about 10 subframe changes, even when jigged and lasered they never feel right unless you stitch weld the front end up and adjust the captive snuts positions, clutch changes are easy you can either remove the box or undo the rear subframe bolt and lever it down to slide the box end case under the chassis rail to get into it.

I hate doing it, getting old, spent to many long days/nights in snow etc changing van clutches and so on.

Fixing cars is a young mans game.

And to think I'm only 22! Laughing
