Saw the script from Lowe you sent to Chet... gits eh?

So you still thinking about getting a 19?

I'm sure some dodgy places in England say Aye, like from Durham way etc... Razz

Proper gits, not really all that fussed to be honest, all I did there was send Chet PM's and make a few random posts. Lost interest really.

Dunno about the 19, it's looking like I won't be getting one due to the insurance. I've been looking into get a 5 door Megane 1.6e, apparently they have tunning potention and the neds don't want them so that's a plus aswell, oh and the Insurance is pretty decent on them. Would prefer a Coupe but I dunno yet will have to see what happens in the future.

Having talks with my mate though, may be able to get a 19 as a project car.

Don't want another Clio.

Did you try HIC? I got quoted £930 TPFT that covers up to 10bhp engine work, trackday cover and free breakdown cover / recovery. Not bad since I have never been legal really in this country 0 NCB etc…

I don’t like meganes much, try getting the 1.6e Coupe… insurance is cheap on them, I’ve seen James39(RSC) one a few times now and its nice enough I suppose!

Not tried HIC, I think it will be fair expensive though with me being only 19 like, I can't seem to sweet talk the parents either...

"You want to get rid of your nice N reg Clio for a bloody J reg 19? Are you bloody mad?"

That's the usual response I got, other than the we probably won't be able to afford the insurance, although I offered to pay in full I got the...

Didn't really want a PH2 19, but I might be able to get one of those if they let me, wouldn't be able to afford the insurance myself really.

Would prefer a Megane Coupe, but they're a bit pricey aren't they?

Phone 01279719932 and ask for Phil, try it man you might be supprised! My previous quotes were all £1500-2200. If he asks where you heard of HIC say Retro-Renault! Wink

YEah coupes are more expensive, I've been in a 5 door and this one ain't that old and it already has terminal rust on the windscreen pillars etc...

I'll have a better look in May when my insurance is due to run out and see what I can get. I've seen a few megane 5 doors with rust and the like and just put it down as bad examples, need to have a proper look and see if the build quality is rubbish on them.

If I can get a 19 16v at auctions in fair condition, I'll consider getting one as a project, but that would mean I'd have to keep the Clio a fair bit longer.

Will have to see what happens.

I know they ain't bad, but I don't think I want another GTS or even a GTS-X. The insurance is silly on those aswell grp 8 or so.

Perhaps it would be a good project though. I'll mention to my mate and see what he reckons.

Well I was quoted £1140 end of last year for a GTS-X, now I'm £900 for a Valver Chamade? I don't see the sense in it either mate!

That's the reason I like my Clio, cheap insurance, cheap on petrol (I filled it up and went to chesterfield the other week and it's still bloody half full even now.)

But I dunno, if we can source a nice GTS-X at the auctions, I'll have it as a nice little project car for me to learn on.

What GTS-X's? As far as I know they don't, although I am sure it was an option. You could transfer all the guff over from a Valver but then that gets a bit arsey to be honest. I never strougled with normal steerin!

Yeah but you a lot bigger than me, I'm just weedy little bugger! The Clio I have don't have Powersteering, but it's only Clio and they don't really need it anyway do they?

Take it you altered the title again? Christ I'm so bloody bored, I've got like 20 posts in one day! Not bad going eh?

YEs and I shall keep editing it!

I used to rip tyres off the rims with the clio and that had no power steering... two tyres wasted that way. I ain't overly strong for my size, steering gets light as soon as you move anyway bud...

Aye I know that you silly bugger, it's just where I live you need to a few manouvres from time to time, basically some twat parks 2 inches infront and one parks 1 inch behind. All very hard work getting out, unfortunetly my original idea of pushing other cars out of the way didn't work as planned.

Need to sort that rear bumper out sometime soon! Might purchase a towbar Laughing

Stupid binmen at mine leave the wheelie bins all over the carpark... came in one day went crazy and wheel spun them out the road... like playing skittles. Got a few funny looks from the windows...

Haha, I've done that, they often leave bin in the drive after emptying it (They didn't leave it there today for some reason) so when I come home for me dinner and have to take the bin in, so last week I decided to hit it (hit it a bit too hard too) and it went bounding down the drive, and crashed into the house.

Made a lot of noise too, still made me snigger though.

Oh and I don't think the title needs editing, I totally agree with it Laughing
