Low temp fan switch

I want to get a low temp fan switch for my 16v, but I don't really want to pay BB prices.

I remember from a long time ago being told that one of the Renault range had a lower temp fan switch than the 16v, but for the life of me I can't remember which one (might have been 5 turbo).

Does anyone know?

I bought one about a year ago and it has died already and could do with it this weekend (bit hot down here).

why do you need it? Are you in africa's desert plains?

Kent just a place you picked instead of the sahara?

if you need one then the cooling system is obviously shite so sort that out before fuckign it up with crap like that.

And thats your 'no nonsense' answer from the big H. The cooling system should be able to cope with the worst of what the british summer can throw at it.

The cooling system is fine. I have thoroughly flushed it, had a new water pump fitted when the cambelt was done, new thermostat and the rad is only 2 years old.

The temp sensor has died and I thought that rather than just get a normal 16v one, try and get a lower temp one.

I know that the 16v one is fine, but I do spend a lot of time sitting in traffic getting into London and just wanted something that cut in a bit earlier.

nah its not worth it, if your that concerned, just wire in an over ride switch, can turn it on at your leisure then!
