Could someone shed some light on this problem please?
My Megane 1.9 Diesel (2001) went into limp mode on motorway.
Garage put it on computer, said low fuel pressure to injectors, but could'nt
pinpoint the problem. Having to wait until Monday so they can hook it up to Laptop whilst driving.
Anyone had this fault? Is it expensive? Sad

it depends, theres the lift pump then theres the high pressure pump.

Its probably the lift pump thats away, blocked strainer, blocked filter or the pumps just dying.

if you fold down the back seats when it happens see if you can detect a change in pump noise.

The high pressure pumps on the engine.

It seems this fault is going on forever. The garage couldn't get car on computer . Told me to take it to Renault, so booked it in.Guess what? another weeks wait.

Well, finally took it to Renault, who did diagnostic test and came up with "SHOWING AN OPEN CIRCUIT TO THE THE HEATER PLUGS".
They replaced heater plugs and road tested it, said all was now fine.
I must say it seems fine, but i havent yet been on motorway to give it a good thrashing.
Does anyone know if this would cause "low pressure to fuel bar"?
By the way it cost £250 including diagnostics test, so i'm hoping thats it.

low pressure to fuel bar would be a dicky pump, I imagine you have the later dci lump which could mean either fuel fiulter or lift pump beign dicky.

Main pumps a possibilty but also the most expensive, start with a filter change!
