Ok Chris need your wisdom once more. Whats supposed to sit between the Exaust manifold and the downpipe. I assume a gasket of some description coz for the life of me i cant get mine to seal and it sounds awful.

Well just slapped the seal on. Is it supposed to mould itself when it gets warm?

Well I may be being thick here but something aint right. I know the outer edge of the seal in conical. Isnt the inner edge supposed to be conical too as it wont sit on the manifold correctly. Im currently thinking about removing it and and trying to put a conical edge on it so it sits on the maniold better

1 side is flat this mates up to the manifold, the pointy bit does to the downpipe!

My manifold has a conical bit on it anyway. Im guessing this means its either a different seal or it just dont need one

the megane manifold has the conical bit on it. The 1.4 etc manifolds which I thought you had doesn't.

I did grab a manifold from a 1.4. Got it from ebay. Well its was bolted to a 1.4 anyway. So im assuming it dont need a seal then. Im wondering if the noise coming from the front is more of an induction noise then. I will have to have a look at the filter and airbox later. See if everything is sat correctly. It just bugs the hell out of me
