It doesn't have a Reno badge but...

My brother's Golf started playing up this morning, it doesn't want to rev much over 1.8K or so, but does do it slowly.

Is this the airflow senor playing up?

Can it be cleaned or is it time for a replacement?

Unplug the air flow meter, see if it runs any better.

if its not there its ignored if its there but playign up within tolerences then it will be listened to.

Yep, it's the Air Flow Meter - it ran alot better with it disconnected.

£112 for a genuine new one.

A local mechanic got it from one of these parts vans that goes around the garages. He wouldn't say more than that though...

I see.

Very hush hush. Does he nod a lot?

He may be an agent, a secret agent.
