Chmonay muthay fuckay. Got me loan this week so i can pay off my credit card and not get charged somethin like 30% interest. Anyway after payin the card i will have a couple of hundred left! Which means the 19 gets a bit of tuning done.

So as you know I've been looking at twin webbers/dellortos and probably cams too. Two questions for ya then, any opinions on weather weber/dellorto are better? and also what the hell happens with the ECU and stuff if I run carbs?

heres a better idea, pay off the credit card then put the rest bacl to cover the loan.

If you run carbs the ECU is useless. although you can retain it to run the ignition.

cams and carbs are probably over 500 quid btw

Lol. Yes you're right i guess although just not as much fun, the idea was just to spend a couple of hundred and like you say cover the loan with what's left. My main decision I suppose is how much to spend not what to do.

Webbers I think is probably goin a bit far because that will be ALL the money gone and that's just silly (Will probably need the rest for repairs!). I don't mind spending 2-300 on cams and maybee one of those chips that Mick has been selling. I think that's pobably the best way to go for now. Will have to make up my mind soon as I've got next weekend off to do the work.

clear your debts mate much better option!

Debts really grind people down always hanging over you.

i don't owe any money so can sort out what I need to pay every month (bills etc) and not have to worry about a big chunk of cash going on a debt or my bank account to not dish out money!

Amber on the other hand is a woman thus stupid and owes shit loads.

Still i'm always skint as the outgoings always seem to be around the same as the income!

slowly gettign better though!

god tell me about it....been clawing my way out of debt for years...i was bad.

i know goin to uni is gunna get me in more debt, but the loans i get for uni will cover my repayments i owe now...so my plan is to get the loans, whack them in an account and im covered for the 2 yrs...in 2 yrs all my loans/debts will be gone.

plus student loans are less to pay back each month.

but yeah...debt is very depressing.

besides how are you going to afford world domination if you can't get credit and those channel 5 adverts consolodating your existing debts into 1 manageable monthly repayment don't accept you?

I do agree, I'd rather not have any debt at all but at least it's not a lot. Apart from that I'm doing an Nvq for the mo and my money is crap till I finish. Once I finish the course the pay rise is enough to cover the loan and more so this is really just to pay off the high interest bits and give me a bit of breathing space + maybee some fun bits for the car.

they give away credit cards like feckin chips these days thats why too many people can get them and get in debt.

i personally am well happy with a debit card with no overdraft on it Laughing

a collaque of mine owes 60k on credit cards and she still keeps paying the interest ,on the other hand i am always skint but knowing that i dont owe shit to anyone makes me sleep easier at nights .

also a contract phone is a credit card imo ,thats why i use a pay as you go card with 300 free texts every month

I have a £500 limit credit card for emergencies (my definition of emergency varies to my wife's!). Apart from that all I have is a Current & Savings Account with no overdrafts.

Got rid of my debt last year. Never want that to happen again! Got scary Sad

I hate credit too.

I have a Barclaycard, only because they gave me a free mobile phone in my first year of uni for signing up. I very very rarely use it though, only when i lose/break my bank card and consequently, the limit is only £250 or something stupid like that

Yeah, I got my Barclaycard at Uni cos they were giving out a free toastie machine and I thought it were rate (Evil or Very Mad ...JB) bo!

Limit isn't a lot (£450) but the interest is hefty but should be getting shot of the debt in a couple of months or so now I'm in me new job.

Also got £1600 overdrawn on my Natwest student account but it's agreed and therefore interest-free so that's not too bad.

Then there's just the small matter of an £11K student loan to pay back.... Rolling Eyes

A while back I had a credit card limit of around £2000, not good at all, so I got it turned down to £200! as it is less expensive when it gets stolen.

Credit cards are one thing that has been named to decieve people, instead it should be called a Debt Card as that is exactly what it does.

Credit cards are useful for buying stuff over the internet etc. but they must be carefully monitored or else it's all to easy to get bitten.

Semantics and conspiracy theories again?

Werent you the one banging on about ebay being the work of Beelzebub for using the term 'winning' in relation to auctions? Razz

Credit cards are the same... for someone with restraint and self control they are a handy tool... for muppets its a rope to hang themself with
