i got mot on sat morn...today is monday (as good as tues now)
i need to
replace CV boot,
replace 4 tyres
replace decat pipe with cat
think im stand a chance? i dont think so................. |

I swapped the rack, the exhaust, struts etc in 2 days and I was playign on here most of the time! |

yeah but i work 8.30 to 5 everyday...plus have my boy to look after most evenings...so as u can see i am not best up on time...
BUT!
1 down 2 to go....
swapped the cat over after doin this thread cos i was sittin on my arse moanin about it when i cud have been out there in the daylight doin it!! so i did....and it was easy...was thinking that was gunna be the hardest job but it was ok...
results...shocked....smoother quieter....IMHO pulls better low down...more back pressure i guess...how bizarre tempted to just leave it on now....but it has got rid of my straight six rasp!!!!! WAGHHHHH |

u should have just told the tester the engine was pre-92, and so get non-cat test.
when i got my kreg (elligable 4 cat test) clio mot'd 2-3wks ago, i told the bloke the F7P "was out of an Hreg R19"!! it wasnt, but could have been!! |

what sort of decat and exhaust do you have Jonny?
I have a smacked out CAT which is doing me no favours at all. So think yourself lucky.
The cat that came off the chamade (its running the old hatches smacked out cat and mid section) was well buggered. Its all collapsed and a bit of a mess.
need to get a proper pipe decat on mine.

its all standard....excpet for the decat of course, which i got from ktec...straight thru jobby...after more driving today i can notice that the cat kinda strangles it a bit at high rpm...so it will be goin back on!
my boy is now 7 into everything but not quite got the build yet for hefty engine work heh heh |

is it a standard renault exhaust? I have a mix of bosai back box and walker mid section. the back box and mid do not agree with each other.
Tempted to stick a genuine ren 1 on but mucho money.
need to get a straight through decat for mine, sod that silence piss, more weight to carry about.

well ihave replaced both the back box and centre section since ive had it..both times just goin to kwik-fit and the likes of and asking for a std replacement....so guess its some other brand...i dunno...i wud go for a s/s jobby but the money and the noise put me off...
he is a lippy one...god im quiet and shy compared to his mother!! but hes a good lad. i am 24..had him when i was 17...yeah it was a bit of a shock...
compulsory to have children by 18 in swansea anyway..lol |

probably a walker system then. The one I have is crap, the tailpipe is cack, to small.
The hatch had the same prob it was round as they used a ph2 back box on it.
I fancy a stainless steel effort, Bens old ph1 chamade wore a twin DTM scorpion, it looked ok and sounded great, bit neddy for me.
lol sounds a bit like where Rusty stays but the upper limit is 15 and you must have 2 by that age! |
