Comes in handy when your brakes fail especially when it happens on a hill!

If the garage does the work needed for the MOT it doesn't need to be tested again does it?

But if you take the car away and do the work yourself you will need to book it in again?

I did this and when it went back they failed it on something else.

That sounds like a good deal to me, wish my garage would do that.

i forgot about that, i took the megane away and fixed the brakes myself and when i took it back the chap says i had to book it back in ?? i said its only the brake discs, surely that will only take 2 mins to check, and then he told me that becuase i took the car away the whole car has to be retested again, it passed though.

yup thats what they should do. if the car leaves the premises, even for a few hours, they have to retest the whole car, no matter how small the item, but within a certain time, it should be free.
