I believe they test the front and rear brakes in an MOT and at times you can be failed as the rears don't brake sufficiently but what if they brake too much?

The reason I ask is that I need to MOT the 1.4 but the back is really low (lower than the front) and I have yet to adjust the rear brake bias valve. Would it be likely to fail it's MOT on this if there is too much braking to the rear?

I don't want to have to raise the back yet (on my to do list) or adjust the bias valve so just want to know if it's likely to be OK for the MOT.

Thanks.

you don't have a bias valve and no it can't brake to much, ideally they would lock up on the rollers and thus ensure a pass

Thanks mate, I didn't realise the 1.4 didn't have one as I have seen people mention them before when talking about lowering the 1.4's.

I'll need to raise the back anyway as it's way too low but I need to try and get an MOT tomorrow if possible. I was up north at the weekend for a wedding and on the way back my dad had a prang in his car and my MOT just ran out, so need to sort mine out so that we have a car of some sort. It means there are three cars at the house, none of which can be driven at the moment, lol.

cheers bud, should be ok though as I just need to put the cat back on and I'm hoping it should be OK then as there aren't many other problems I know of.
