My Clio - The Renaissance

Well, after a long day yesterday picking up a car trailer and removing my clio from my drive, i finally got it somewhere to be looked at.

Took it to a place that came recommended by one of my mates from work, who basically buys crashed cars, repairs them and sells them on.
Sounded just the man for the job tbh.

We went over the car, and listed everything that needed doing.

As expected, the jig was going to be needed, engine removed, also a new subframe, 2 new wings, new front panel, and as the subframe was going in, wishbones and joints. Bonnet needed dents taking out and needs a complete new front bumper and fogs.
Also the rad and new aux belt and gearbox mount.

For the past few weeks i'v collected all the parts needed from ebay and breakers, got some real bargains, Â£1.50 for the rad, Â£8 for the mount, Â£20 for the subframe, wishbones and wings will be new and i'm still hunting for a bumper (for the right price).

He also said i could come down and use the garage while the engine is out if there was anything i wanted to do.
So might aswell pop a new clutch in and do the cambelt while it's out.

Well, here comes the part i was dreading, the quote!!!

and that includes spraying aswell.

I am right in thinking that is bloody cheap arent i ??

So, although people said i would be an idiot to get it fixed, i'm afraid this time i'm going to have to be an idiot.

The car is in and work starts next week.
