Well the title of the thread pretty much says it all, i was so close to finally getting my new clutch cable fitted when this little pastic thing broke!

My question is how do i go about replacing it?? Is it part of the clutch pedal? ie if i get a new clutch pedal will it be there, or is separate? and where can i get one from??

No you don't, all you need is a new self-adjusting ratchet which has the end retainer built into it.

Costs about a £5 or so from my local factors which is a rip-off but better than forking out for the whole pedal assembly which is ~£20.

Yes I believe the pedal has to come owt and it's a proper bastard of a job to do as well.

It's more down to luck and trial-and-error than it is skill.
