What may be a good idea is if we let others know what we are after R19 wise on ebay so we don't outbid each other sending the price too high.

BTW forgot to mention it has a trip comp which is a new toy to me as the chamade doesnt have one.

providing it is working correctly i averaged 41 mpg over my 225mile trip home...not bad at all...chammy would get about 30.

but...i was goin easy in the hatch 50/60 average whereas i usually cane the chamade 80 average. so that may explain some of it.

I managed 31mpg over 124 mile and 60 of those were above 100mph and a gallon was used travellign about 10 miles in traffic.

yeah its not that hard to be fair, just move the dash away from the bulkhead, reach under and pull the heater box out from the passenger side.

No need to faff about taking the dash right out and stuff like the Haynes says.

was loosing coolant and the footwell was wet.

Changed the matrix, footwell no longer gets wet but it's still losing coolant. Assuming you dont have any leaks other than the matrix, just connect the matrix hoses together in the engine bay, if the coolant level stays, you know for sure the matrix is duff.

I prefer to remove the dash to do the matrix.

It may be a leakign sunroof etc JB. If it looks like coolant and smells like coolant then its the matrix. If its clear wet and not smelly like coolant then I'd say its rain water.

where is it most likely to be comin from sunroof?

it didnt smell like coolant, but my hands were dirty so hard to tell...ill chk coolant level when i get home as if it was the matrix i would expect the bottle to be pretty empty after a coupla hundred miles. home. was reasonable level when i left.

also...thinking about plans for it. its gunna be off the road for a while so by time its ready mot and tax will be long gone. i am prolly gunna put that new btm end in with a head of some sort...it will be a risky business taking it out to break it in with no tax/ticket...cud be done but not preferable.

so my cunningplan would be to book it for an mot...then take it on a scenic route to the mot stati0n...like 40 miles Rolling Eyes heh heh...get pulled say i am on my way to a pre-booked mot test!
