Really don’t know.

Subaru with chip - etc. 26 Litres per 100 KM if you push it.

Mitsu even worse.

4WD Lift-off you’re dead. --- OK - play a little rally driver. Some - one coming the other way with the thing in a full boost slide –4W breaking as apposed to lift-off understeer, or rear drive oversteer? Things all over the place, Sure you’re good.

It’s all the electronic crap, which worries me.

At work we have a Merc Vito. Always playing with it, throw in a turn, it starts slamming breaks on You can turn it off. (On snow it won’t work, like ABS) But as-soon as it gets a change it puts it back on again.

id like a bmw if i cud afford one...they just look like they have a bonnet full of solid metal...chunky mother stuff...

new m3 to have a v8!

the new m5 is good, plenty of power and tricks...but looks...like a 5 series...much prefered the last version, it sat lower looked much more aggressive than the std 5 series...and then alpina...just that bit more special...for rarity.

theres so much choice...i think if i cud afford anything id certainly have a r34...they seem to be indestructable...im sure they are but all the gear is out there to make them as tough as nails. look the balls too.

seen the new nismo one? awesome. only 20 to be made...the last of the skylines.

That NISMO Skyline is a beast. A friend of mine has just paid £17000. for the last NISMO GTT. The NISMO body kit makes the car look awesome and that rasp from the engine is Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

I’m after aCitroen Xsara 2.0l 19V.

Had enough of fighting the Renault F-wits.

You go there. They tell you that they are so busy; they can fit in your car car in three weeks for a diagnostic check. That many Renaults are breaking down OK.

They told me my idle problem was caused by the TPS. But they cannot get me a new one. (Now they say remanufactured new ones will be available from the end of June). Fit a used one from a scrappy, Stopped the problem for a few days, starts again go back, the used TPS must have the same fault as the old one.

Chris H said it sounds like the Road Speed Sensor. OK wiring and ground is OK, sod it buy a new cable (around £100) take a last look. Pull the plastic case off the sensor; bugger around with it inside, bend the small black Hall sensor thing toward the cable, fault found. Only took 4 months.

Rented a few Megane’s in my travels.
Fat arse, the thing works, stick the card in press the button, pull the card out, says put the card back in. Hit the start button 5 times it stops hit it 6 times it will stop the start again. Digital Speedo. No thanks

End of rant.

Citroen Xsara 2.0l 16V.

Father in law has had Citroens for years. Big ones. And he moves a lot of stuff over great distances at high speed with the things. So they have a reputation for being a granddads car. All the better for price. Faster than the 19 16S. OK. Very nice old style handling with good balance.

Well, with the new chip the 19 s running really well. Hammered it over the Coll De Turini last week. Need some upgraded brake pads. Pedal stays firm but you can’t lock the wheels; Ferodo DS2500 on order.

Well it's a different story according to www.fasthatchbacks.com. They've got the 0-60mph on the valver as 7.4 seconds, which is what I've seen it as everywhere else, so I dunno where that 9.1 seconds came from. Ah well, who knows.....

Note at the bottom, I like the way the Xsara gets a whopping 1 out of 5, compared to the 19's 4 out of 5 Laughing
